Latest Press Releases and News.

Expect updates to the corporate website soon.  We apologize for recent lack of updates on important news such as ongoing investments in properties and acquisition of Foxstone Park.

Fox Amusements recent purchase of Foxstone Park including the re-branding of the park has fueled rumors that other acquisitions may be in the works.  Currently we are reviewing any acquisition opportunities that come along to see how they fit market and concept wise and how any acquisition would fit into our financial picture and how it may impact investors.

ShoreView Park will open for 2006 with 6 new rides and many improvements.  As part of the ongoing restoration and improvement projects at this classic park we have completed a project to restore many of the ride queue structures to the midway.  Another restoration project was to relocate the bumper cars to their original location next to the Tunnel of Love with a new building that closely resembles what was originally there.

We have also spent a lot of time on park aesthetics adding landscape lighting around the midway to bring color and excitement to the night sky.

The Thrill Zone at ShoreView has a new Sky Swing and has been relocated to it's new home making way for improved concessions and two new rides the ShoreVair and Tidal Wave.

You will also see the return of the giant slide, Tilt-a-Whirl and Thunder Bobs in 2006 completing the original midway!

January 2006

Happy New Years!

With the completion of Miller's Hollow Fox Amusements is ready to shift gears for awhile and focus on capital improvement of our other parks and on our new division Fox Amusements Creative Studio.  Fox Amusements Creative Studio (FACS) will focus on designs and creations for projects outside our theme parks.  We will be launching a separate web site for FACS projects in the near future so you can follow these projects as well as our parks.

November 2005 - Fox Amusements announces 2 new coasters and several new family rides for Highland Lakes in 2006.  As a part of the ongoing upgrading and improvements to our largest property we are making a significant capital investment in Highland Lakes for the 2006 season including two new coasters with one of the two to be a family coaster for the Kamp KiDFoX family area being constructed.

This will bring the total coaster count to 10 at Highland Lakes.

Miller's Hollow

Fox Amusements is pleased to announce our new flagship park in Council Bluffs Iowa, Miller's Hollow.  Miller's Hollow was the original name of the supply post on the Iowa side of the Missouri River that has grown into present day Council Bluffs.  The Miller's Hollow park celebrates the heritage of the area and features a Midwestern atmosphere and hospitality.

Construction has hit the halfway mark and is progressing well.  Millers Hollow is our second largest park and will feature 7 roller coasters at the time of opening.

Coasters in the park include:

The Trail Blazer a traditional out and back wooden coaster
The Hawk a Bollinger & Mabillard coaster that features 5 inversions
Thunder a Bollinger &
Mabillard suspended coaster
Black Snake Coal Mine a nice mine train coaster

Twist and Shout a twisted Impulse Coaster from Intimin
And on our boardwalk we feature Vekoma Boomerang and Invertigo coasters.

Miller's Hollow is part of a larger resort complex that features the 180 room Trails West Resort Hotel, Trails West Campground and RV Park  and the Buccaneer Harbor indoor water park.

It's the 80s in America again!

Fox Amusements is pleased to announce the addition of sit down dining at several of our parks.  Ronnie's Cafe is now open at Shoreview Park and will soon be open in the remodeled meeting center at Expedition Pointe.   Ronnie's will also be opening outside of Surf City USA soon as an alternative to the Surf City Diner on the pier which is only available with your park admission Ronnie's will be open to guests of the park and those just wising to enjoy a fun dining experience.

Currently Ronnie's is only operating at Fox Amusements properties however we have begun investigating franchising the concept.

We are looking at bringing Ronnie's to more of our parks in the future.  Welcome Back to the 80s!

New Park in the works, Low down on Highland Lakes - Somewhere in the Midwest October 20 2005

We have come to a point in our history where we would like to establish a flagship park.  Plans are underway for a new park that will be the center point of the Fox Amusements chain.  This is not to say we stop focusing on continued improvements at our existing parks, in fact nothing could be further form the truth.  The recently re-named and constantly improving Highland Lakes is slated for more major improvements for the next season.  Expedition Pointe will also receive some face lifts and new attractions as will all parks in the chain.  It is our business model to constantly look for ways to improve our existing properties while looking for ways to steadily grow and provide great entertainment and family value all over the country.   Our new park is simply going to bring this home to the Midwest where we admittedly have not put a lot of focus lately other than the unique vision of Fox Ridge.  It is time for a full blown theme park expansion in our home region.

Fox Ridge - Wisconsin September 15 2005

Fox Amusements is nearly ready to cut the ribbon on their new year round attraction in middle Wisconsin.  Fox Ridge is a combination of indoor and outdoor attractions with some of the park able to operate year round.

Fox Ridge combines traditional amusement rides in a wooded setting with shopping, food, art, and fun of all kinds.  Dining options range from cafeterias to the Captains Club where patrons have a choice of scenic views to go with their dining experience.

Fox Ridge is an experiment in entertainment and a combination of family oriented fun in a beautiful setting with unprecedented attention to detail and architecture.  In addition to entertainment options there are meeting rooms and hotel space available for your event needs.

Highland Lakes - Northern California September 12 2005,

Fox Amusements announces that starting with the next season Kamp KiDFoX will become Highland Lakes, Great California Adventures.  Kamp KiDFoX is the largest park operated by Fox Amusements and was formerly known as Camp Carousel at the time Fox Amusements purchased the property.

The decision to change the name once again is to allow the use of the Kamp KiDFoX name to replace the Family Fun Zones in current parks and use on new family friendly attractions currently planned in existing and new theme parks and water parks.

Buccaneer Harbor -  Indoor Water Park Coming 2005-2006

Fox Amusements is proud to announce that plans are underway for a major indoor water park and resort in the Midwest.  Part of a larger growth plan for the Midwest region Buccaneer Harbor will be the first of two new parks in the Midwest with the other to be a theme park in the same vicinity.  Locations for these attractions are not yet final however the plans are well underway  and suitable locations are being sought.  Fox Amusements by combining a traditional theme park with the year round advantages of a major indoor water park resort will bring a one of a kind attraction to the Midwest.

This combination of indoor and outdoor attractions is perfect for the heartland where many theme parks are closed 6 months out of the year and there are few indoor swimming facilities and even fewer indoor recreation opportunities.  We are very excited about the opportunities this expansion of our Midwest Operations will provide.
